To
quote a Ronald Reagan phrase; "Here we go again," the city hall good old boys, (Players), are at it
again pleading
poverty. This time it's cutting back Dial-a-Ride. Thank God the people are finally waking up
to
their snow jobs before they completely destroy all that's left of what was once a rich, healthy, pay as you
go
beautiful city. These city hall "parasites" have plunged us into deep debt and will
bankrupt us before
they
will sell off the city owned real estate all at once, worth billions, while the market is
hot. They have no
business
being in business anyway. Their job is to "run" the city, not run it in the ground. That money
could
pay
off all Mesa's debts completely, pay cash for the most elaborate transportation ever devised with
plenty
left
over to be used for rainy day funds and other necessities. That "ugh" art center should be the first
to
go and
a partial list can follow that includes, 1. All golf courses. 2. Both airports. 3. The
2000 acre useless
Coolidge
water farm. 4. Mesa's "Enterprise" that includes utilities, etc. 4. The entire list of
approximately
1500
more real estate parcels that aren't already used and/or aren't necessary. If, (a big IF), Mesa
citizens
really
wanted to, or cared enough to, we could force the sale of the building that houses these parasites to
the
highest bidders of the private sector who could lease it back to the city under certain conditions.
These
actions would;
1. Shift power of control over to it's rightful owners, the people. 2.
Stimulate Mesa's
economy.
3. Empower the free market thus unleashing the awesome power of competition. And 4. Attract
honest,
experienced leadership to replace our existing so called leaders, "one zoo keeper and 7
baboons, "
with
"one true City manager and 7 council members." It's just a matter of whether there are enough
folks
here
with balls enough to take a stand for the people and clean up city hall. Anyone who wants
proof of
fiscal
corruption in Mesa log onto mesaazcorruption.com and learn how they do it. Respectfully

Subj: Hispanic lady facing jail time by Mesa. Human rights violated by City of Mesa.
A
Hispanic lady chasing her great American dream has been has been turned into a nightmare by
illegal and unfair Mesa government rulings.
Lady
purchased a house on a corner she wanted to build a restaurant.
She
was told by Mesa officials she needed 22 spaces for parking.
She
purchased the house next door that had a fire and had only walls standing.
Mesa
officials put so many barriers against her regarding zoning and other red tape she couldn't
comply.
The
man who sold it to her had a dream to rebuild that burnt home to preserve memories because it was his
first home where he and his now deceased wife raised their children.
Plans
had been drawn at great expense ready to began rebuilding the home.
The
Hispanic lady offered to purchased the property to be used as parking for her project.
The
seller felt the lady's dream overshadowed his own and agreed to sell property to her instead.
Seller financed
the mortgage himself in effort to assist the lady in her quest to fulfil her great American
dream.
In
less than one year, with all the red tape from Mesa's code violation tough rules the lady's monthly payments
stopped.
Seller
not wanting to forfeit, (foreclose) hopefully giving the lady time to work out the details with the city
of Mesa, waited for over one year. He was willing to bend further if needed to assist the lady in her
effort to chase her Great American Dream".
Mesa's
code compliance backed by severe expense against the lady plus by police action threatened to jail the lady who
couldn't afford to tear the standing walls of the burnt house.
Mesa's
code compliance sent an undated letter to the seller giving him 30 days to demolish the walls of burnt home
or they would demolish it themselves, put liens on it and other charges, and deny sellers right and
time to rebuild the home as he originally planned.
The
insurance did not pay all needed to rebuild and time is needed by seller to sue for enough costs to
rebuild.
The
seller is yours truly and I just spoke to Mesa's code compliance Director; Michael Renshaw whose only
concern was what termed as a violation of neighbors; "Quality of Life" explaining their right to not have to
look at that building in their neighborhood. What he called; "Property rights." Doesn't our Arizona
Constitution give rights only to people to own property? Does "Property have rights?
Now
that it's obvious that having to go back to square one, I need time to sue the insurance company and if the
walls remain standing the cost would be very much less rather than rebuild without keeping the walls
there.
However,
my main concern is for the lady who is presently fighting jail sentence to be imposed on her, by the
city of Mesa, for not being able to tear down those walls. My name is Kirby Allan phone (480)
969-0000 or email; kirbyallanaz@aol.com
The
lady's name is Gabriella Millanes doesn't speak English well but, her phone is; (602) 327-9320 Her
daughter-in-law, Carmen, speaks both Hispanic and English her phone is (480)
962-0393.
